Minnesota came into this weekend without playing/practicing outside. That really did not play a factor in the game. The one thing that did play a role in the game was the hitting. Since they have not been outside and not having the chance to hit as well. It took them a couple innging to get the bats going. The hitting started with a two out double by Cody Anderson. Cody spent the fall semester in Norway up in the artic circle. You could not tel with his 2-2 performance before sitting the rest of the day after injuring his hand. Marshall Dalziel had his moments on the mound. In 5 1/3 he fanned 8 but walked 6 hit 1 and gave up 7 hits. He got himself into jams but managed to pitch himself out. He handed the ball over to Derek Plath and a round of applause from the fans. Plath came in and shut the door and showed why a lefty is key coming out of the pen. Ryan Worm got hot early and stayed hot. He had two doubles and two RBI's that were huge in the comback the team had in the Bottom of the 7th. Worm really hit the ball well and showed that who needs to hit over the winter when you can show up and get a couple doubles. When all was said and done the guys fell 5-4 in a great comeback effort.
